Very true. There was a recent submission about this in academia. The author advocated for simpler language: https://sic.pm/s/53/on-academic-writing-a-personal-note-2016/

Have you read Lucretius' De Rerum Natura / On the Nature of Things? I think you would like it.
-
Sounds like a stressful memento mori. Is it worth the existential (d)read?
-
Yes it's in the browser! I thought Bunny was as well, but I peeked at the source code and I saw it uses https://guacamole.apache.org/
So it sets up a VM and sends VNC to the browser. Pretty cool.

I was wondering just how many >999 year old olive trees exist in Greece but couldn't find any list.
-
Thank you, that sounds like an honest review and I still want to read it eventually.

I have The Origins of Totalitarianism in my to-read list, how dated would you say it is in general? Is it more of a historical look of 70~ years ago or more political/philosophical?
-
Yeah I had one of my small tools added after I submitted it! Seems like it doesn't work right now (some google document source it fetches is 404)

Wow all those tools are incredible. I especially love the pixel / glitch ones.
I really want to try it too. On some aspects it's cheaper than getting a DSLR (used camera prices have skyrocketed lately) too. The process seems the biggest obstacle to this but the state of flow you describe makes it a "bigger" hobby to have, time-wise.
